Do not support this site. The founders plan to use their advertising proceeds to help further their white supremacists agenda. Diazzaroâ€™s (one of the developing founders) family heads a strong KKK faction in the US and Europe. Check the facts and confirm this info for yourself.

Thanks for your comments and clariffication Paul. Let me try to clariffy my point:
1. I have no problem with companies that offer free service and making money by menotize it. I do not have a problem with companies that charge money for web site hosting - which is closser to what you are doing.
2. My point was that user have no advantage submitting content to companies like TravBuddy when they can blog it (and mabye get paid as well...)
3. I asked why should someone use your company when they can blog for free or use TravBuddy for free.

However the only test is the results test and if people like the service you are offering I'm happy for you, I know how hard it is.

I appreciate your point about disingenuous companies trying to build content by offering a free service and then using that content to make money.

However, as one of the co-founders of MyTripJournal, I can say that's not the point of MyTripJournal. Our users have total control over how the content on their websites is used. Many people decide to password protect their sites and limit access to their family and friends. Others don't.

We're totally focused on providing a set of useful tools that travelers can use to record their journeys and keep in touch with family and friends. Copyright for content remains always with the traveler who posted it.

It's true that our business model is based on people paying for our service. What that means for our users is that their sites are not cluttered up with ads and marketing offers from affiliated companies. It also means that we're here to answer the phone if you have a question or need help.
