One time I had one too alas..it was a spam commenter commenting the same thing 100 times! Ah well, it was a nice feeling for the few seconds it lasted!
Ingrid
btw..had a busy week plus weekend doing political work..will have to give you part two this week, that is, if you don't 'hate' me already!

Re: The Digg effect

Ido,
I agree with you. In fact my RSS subscribes number remain with no change which is good indicator for the amount of "It looks obvious" visitors. I also don't think that this blog is a good match to Digg readers since it is usually not about technology.
It was interesting, however, to see the herd galloping through the blog, bringing the blog into the web 2.0 revolution :)

Re: The Digg effect

The real question is, of course, how many returning readers you actually got.

My feeling is that though the Digg effect (what ever happened to "the Slashdot effect"?) may increase traffic temporarily, it doesn't benefit you as a blogger, since Digg readers are just that --- Digg readers, not It Looks Obvious readers. They don't tend to come back to websites they got to using Digg, trusting that it will float any quality content found here anyway. And the same is probably, in a degree, true for Outbrain.
