    your assumptions are wrong. It does generate sympathy to their cause, but not in the west. Do they care if John Smith in Vermont like them? I doubt.


    And if you will check some of the sites of the extreme American left you would be amaze how much support the Hamas is getting anyway.

    I should have been more specific. In NORMAL people like you or I it does not generate sympathy.
    In radicals such as those who would resort to suicide bombings it does genereate the attention they are looking for.
