I've done a little research and found that the costs of alternative oils are slightly higher. In the process, I discovered a fat replacement ingredient made from corn fiber that can be used to cut oils and lower calories while adding dietary fiber. Not a bottom line issue, but intriguing given all the "go healthy" buzz.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Oprah's physician, Mehmet Oz mentioned it in his new best seller, "You on a Diet.' Gave it a pretty good plug on page 90. Supposedly can't be detected. Priced about the same, so its a wash. Thinking I might as well give it a try.
